About the Artist:
Originally a high school intern at Judson Studios in 2018, Jasmine Summers has returned for a residency at our South Pasadena studio as a retail artist. She recently earned her Associates Degree in Communication Arts from Pasadena City College and is currently working towards her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Arts. Her personal practice follows a mixed-media approach, which also plays a part in her glass-making techniques and pieces that she crafts in our studio. She executes every step of the process as she designs, curates, and photographs all her pieces. At the core of who she is, there is a strong passion for promoting a healthier Earth that can be enjoyed by future generations to come. To this end, her personal, educational, and professional goals are to further the principles of a viable and productive Earth-centric society. She strives to maintain this practice in the studio as all her pieces are made entirely out of upcycled materials. Happy to make items for the public, she hopes her designs brighten and enlighten patrons’ spaces.
