In 2023, Judson Studios acquired the manufacturing assets and capabilities of UltraGlas, Inc., one of the world’s leading manufacturers of architectural glass, high-performance glass, and glass tile. This significant investment transformed our organization into a full-service specialty glass company that is able to provide an even broader array of glass fabrication techniques and innovative processes, including laminated glass, enamel painting, sandblasting, etching, and kiln carving. Our 25,000-square-foot facility, located in Alhambra, California, is our third site and the new home of the industrial equipment and machinery that enables us to design and fabricate complex, large-scale projects with an array of trailblazing partners.

Popular Textures

Subtle textures have a low profile and are relatively smooth overall. They are usually used either as they are, as background textures for other embossed designs, or in combination with different subtle textures. They are appropriate for nearly all applications and are particularly useful as the underside (#2) surface for bar tops and counters when a very smooth surface is required. As the top (#1) surface, they are generally flat enough as a bar or countertop and feature a tactile, low-maintenance, and durable surface that will camouflage wear and tear of heavy use. When used as the top (#1) surface, many of the subtle textures are also ideal for flooring as they offer a good coefficient of friction for slip resistance and do not show wear. All premium glass has various thicknesses and custom fabrication options to accommodate your design application. Our decorative glass is used in cabinets, countertops, divider walls, doors, partition walls, retail shelving, shower enclosures, tabletops, and small windows. We fabricate all of our glass in-house to fit your design specifications and we can manufacture insulated units for outdoor installations. Textured glass gives elegance and privacy. Custom Textures

Custom Samples: Cast Glass is an art glass made by heating glass to a high temperature. As the glass softens, it conforms to a mold. Both sides of cast glass carry the design, whereas deep-carved glass typically has carving on one side only. We then hand-paint it with enamel with an opaque or transparent finish. In cutting our specialty mold, we can create company logos or specific designs- they can be painted before firing, which allows the color to fuse to the glass- perfect for outdoor applications. The color will not fade or peel away. With our ability to create the custom mold, the final design can move from one panel into another- so we can make that continuous flow no matter how big the design, whether eight feet or eighty.
